A Teaching of the Assembly
The Question
How can something introduced in time replace something established before time?
That is the whole teaching in one line. A name that men introduced a few hundred years ago cannot replace the Name that was declared before time began — because the eternal does not get replaced by the temporary. It gets covered by it, for a while. But covered is not replaced.
The Name Is Not a Detail
Everything in Scripture is tied to the Name. Not to a title. Not to a substitute. To the Name itself.
“The name of Yahuah is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
Mishlei (Proverbs) 18:10
“Whosoever shall call on the name of Yahuah shall be delivered.”
Yo'el (Joel) 2:32
Read those slowly. Safety is tied to the Name. Deliverance is tied to the Name. And Yahusha Himself said why He came:
“I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me.”
Yochanan (John) 17:6
The Son came, in His own words, to make the Father's Name known. If the Name did not matter, the Son would not have named it as His mission.
“He Knows My Heart”
Many answer: it does not matter what I call Him — He knows my heart.
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 17:9
Our hearts can be wrong. Feelings are not truth. A sincere heart can still call on a name it was handed by men — and sincerity does not turn a replacement into the real thing. Truth is not based on feelings; it is based on what was declared.
The Name Was Established Forever
“This is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.”
Shemoth (Exodus) 3:15
“Thy name, O Yahuah, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O Yahuah, throughout all generations.”
Tehillim (Psalms) 135:13
“For I am Yahuah, I change not.”
Mal'akhi (Malachi) 3:6
Forever. Enduring. Unchanging. That is the shelf the Name sits on — it was never placed in time, so time cannot expire it.
And the Son stands on the same shelf:
“Before Abraham was, I am.”
Yochanan (John) 8:58
“Yahusha HaMashiach the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
Ivrim (Hebrews) 13:8
“I am Aleph and Tau, the beginning and the end.”
Hazon (Revelation) 22:13
The Other Name Was Introduced in Time
Now set beside that a simple, checkable fact: the letter J is less than 500 years old. It did not exist in the Hebrew tongue, nor in the Greek, nor in the English of the first printed Bibles — the 1611 King James printed “Iesus.” The name “Jesus,” in that English form, was introduced to us in time, handed down by men through a chain of languages, each link reshaping it.
We say this carefully: a form men built in time cannot replace a Name declared before time — any more than a road sign can replace the city it points to. The eternal was not made by time, space, or matter. He simply was — and His Name was given by Him, not assigned to Him.
The Conclusion Scripture Leaves Us With
“I, even I, am Yahuah; and beside me there is no saviour.”
Yesha'yahu (Isaiah) 43:11
So the question returns, and every reader answers it for himself: how can something introduced in time replace something established before time?
It cannot. It can only cover it — and what is covered can be uncovered. That uncovering is happening now, one heart at a time.
Call on the Name that was established before time: Yahuah — and the Name of His Son, Yahusha HaMashiach.
